You cheated on him and he's been doing drugs without your knowledge. Weighing the two, cheating is worse. I could not blame him if after you both came to terms about what's happened he bolted.
It's always a good idea to not cheat in the first place. Telling up front what you are feeling usually can prevent a mess like this.

Sounds like a lot of resentment. As you no doubt have recently seen in the news with Micheal Richard, Mel Gibson, people tend to show their true feelings when the are truly upset and in a passionate argument.
Sounds as though he wanted to end this awhile ago, maybe you should do both of you the favor.

Sounds like he can use your affair as ammunition against you and continually try to emotionally manipulate you with that..Also sounds like you found out he was using drugs at the perfect time! Let him go before it is toooo late..Drugs are a bad deal, especially for the sober mate...

if ye have been lying to each other all this time what have ye really got? and if you did not notise he was doing drugs are ye really connected and could you ever trust him again
on the other note when he said he shoukd have left you he is obviously feeling really left down you should tell him how you really feel about him.
Things certainly need to get sorted one way or the other
best of luck

Part of a good relationship, is telling each other about yourself. Obviously, he decided to leave out the part of him that includes drugs. You obviously felt a reason to cheat on him.
So, maybe it is wise to atleast take a break from each other, to see how you truly feel.

I have a point of view of never tied anyone to ourselves, I know it hurts to let someone we are attached to go away.
Maybe a serious talk can reach to a conclusion.

If you want to save the marriage, he needs to go into rehab. If the marriage is beyond saving, file for divorce and end it.
