I think this world has come a long long way from what it was whe I was little. I do appreciate the sensativity that black people have toward their past, but most of the race and other races as well realize that we today had nothing to do with that, and the white people to day that are 20 to 30 yrs old that still harbor racial feelings say that they were taught that way. I think they need to grow up and get a mind of their own. You don't let your mother call you and tell you when to make your bed if you're 25 so why let them dictate how you treat other people. This is a different society now and if you think about it we all are mixed with another race in some way. I love everybody.

Why do you assume that blacks have all these probs w/ all these ppl? I'm black and I don't have a problem with all these ppl. I think you need to stop generalizing about black ppl. Yeah, there are some who are on their, "blame the white man" kick and there are other black ppl who do not do that. On the flip side there are ppl who are prejudice against blacks and do subtle things that are discriminatory towards them (only because open discrimination and racism is not socially acceptable anymore), but that's not everybody. (and yes there are black ppl who are prejudice just like there are non-blacks who are prejudice)
I don't get why ppl take the few bad ones from the group and say all ppl from that group are like that. It's like ppl watch Maury and say all black ppl have baby mama drama. But then again, nobody watches Jerry Springer and thinks all why ppl are like that. They just say something like, "Oh, that's just the white ppl from the south." If I can watch both of those shows and know that everything in those shows do not apply to everybody then why can't you?
BTW: There are black kids go to school, pay attenention and get good grades. Exibit A: One of my best friends is black and finished as one of the top 10 students in the class. (396 students total.)

There are always going to be misunderstandings between different races because of the history involved between those different ethnicities. Your statement is very ignorant because I went to a high school where it was half black and half white and there were little problems. Where your argument that black people don't get along with white people comes from I don't know. It's unfortunate that the situation you're in right now has left you frustrated and that you have resulted to stereotypes to mask these frustrations. Here's a piece of history for you just in case you didn't know.. I have a good example of when blacks and whites have worked together in case you don't remember and it's called the civil rights movement.

Sorry to say that I must agree. I do not give a crapp how many thumbs down I get or whatever. But the attitude that I see from this group gets extremely old. I am a blonde white so I always catch a load of attitude. Especially from black females. I do not owe anyone one darn dime because they were a slave. Sorry, I was not here. Who paid the Indians? My child is Japanese American and she catches all kinds of racism so do all other races. But they never start trouble with others and then holler racism or just holler racism about everything just to bully others and get their way.

What the heck are you talking about? Did you not just contradict yourself- "there are hard working people and there are the trouble makers we all got them"... So you work with hark working blacks...yet you still persist in generalizing.
I agree with the people above about the media. People see one hateful black person and immediately think all blacks are like that. Any educated person would not generalize..unless you are a little kid. Little kids don't know much about the world besides the other kids they are around and also Mtv.

i have to enlighten you people on what you don't know. i am black, and it is always the same attitude with the white people in my state. they always look at us as if we are nothing and we are no body. most blacks i know are very smart, and knows how to do just about anything. but, yes we are judged daily just because of the color of our skin. in fact, i did not get a job last year because i was infact black and my best friend got the job instead, she is white. i speak spanish fluently and she does not yet the office i applied to has lots of spanish speaking immigrants as clients and they do not speak english. i have a better attitude and graduated from college. she did not. she has a ged and nothing else, not much experience either. but her interview was after mine and we rode togeher for the interviews and the owner stated to her i was an example of what not to be. she did not take the job offer and told the owner that i was her best friend and tha she lived with me. so my question was. is this right?

Whenever we here of a terrible racially involved incident , a great deal of generalization goes on. Usually, it involves blacks because anything involving blacks is greatly overplayed in the media. Not that we shouldn't hear about the bad jokes and the shootings, but that we should hear about those things that involve other races as well as well. We don't. So, listen to those hard working individuals you know and get to know them and it won't be so easy to generalize.

The North Africans went out in there ships in the early 17 hundreds and took over a million whites as slaves.for example they took an entire town in Ireland. the U.S.marines fought them and stopped there practice. Are white people supposed to hate Africans for doing this long ago? Many Blacks dont have anything much else to think about then the slavery thing.or to blame whites on there problems. But many Black folks or makeing it well in this country and I am all for them.I am for anyone who wonts to make it better for themselfs in this country.

it's NOT about the PAST, it's about today, just look at alot of the questions and comments posted here on this medium alone disrespecting blacks. then you should just really take the time to reflect on your on question. my question to you is if 95% of the blacks you attend school with are hardworking good ppl, what room do you have to say why is it that black ppl have such a hard time with other races. sounds to me like your trying to stiffle your own prejudices.
when was the last time cops shove a mop handle up a white guys ***, or shot him 50 times trying to leave a strip club, or dragged to death behind a pick-up truck. not to say that blacks have no responsibility about our current situation being the highest in almost everything negative. but because the media only ever shows you the negative never the positive, your left with apparent biggoted assumptions in which you admit yourself by your percentages are phoney.

I don't agree with you at all; I'm white and have many black friends, they're all great people and have have great families too; none of them ever discriminated me because of my skin color and I never felt like a misfit among them; my ex-boyfriend is black too and his friends are wonderful people, much more educated than many whites I know. It's just a matter of education, there are rude and complexed people everywhere and it has nothing to do with skin color. Peace.
