Please clarify, dig with what? Do you also include drilling, or do you mean actual digging. Either way, the answer is probably eternity. Or to be more accurate, impossible. As you continue to dig down, the pressure and temperature continue to increase. Once you penetrated the crust (after digging about 10 miles, you would hit the liquid mantle, which is like digging into lava. Obviously, that would likely present a few problems with your tools.

a hole 5 miles deep in russia took 3 years to drill to dig that same hole would have taken man years.
to get to the centre of the earth i dont think it could be done by humans we would die from the volcano or our tools would all melt away.
