My two step daughters (4 and 5 years old) want LAPTOPS!!!! I am a webdesign major at ECPI, so I spend a LOT of time on my computer, and the girls are starting to call in my footsteps and LOVE computers, SO I'm getting them a Barbie laptop!! they are $50 each, but it will teach them how to do math, grammer, english and all those goodies I do believe, and it will give them an early start on learning how to type, which will be GREAT once they get further in school.

They are also having fits for Scooters, they already have some at their mom's apartment, but they don't get to play with them there because of lack of space in the parking lot and their mother is,... nvm, lets not get me started there lol,... BUT after we get the rest of their christmas stuff, if we have the cash left we are getting them the scooters.

I've added up the prices for the things that they want and all together we'll be spending around $379.00 for all their things. Not too bad.

Last year they begged for the Bella Dancearella Ballerina thingie and we got it for them, but they bearly use it anymore, and a not about that thing, it's SOO not worth the money, they only thing my oldest step daughter got from that thing was to eat more fruits and veggies because it will make you big and strong, and it got her to drink milk,... no special Ballerina stuff....... and the little video is beyond stupid. You'll know what I mean if you see the money and the two "teds".

My kids have never begged. They have hinted of course and made lists but never begged. My youngest still believes in Mr. C so she knows I have no control over what he brings and my oldest knows she will get a few things she wants. I find begging children annoying and I would ignore their requests.

My kids have always begged for a Trampoline since they first saw one - I don't think they will ever get it.
They want laptops, cellphones, GameBoys...Not getting those either. Not being a Scrooge, but I like spending $ on keeping them active like for swimming at the gym or after school programs like basketball. They get board games, card games, clothes, movies, cds, hair stuff, dresses for church or plays or dances.

Most kids are begging for a PS3 or Wii. But I'm not going to get it because I don't have kids.

My son is only 2 1/2, so he isn't begging for anything in particular yet. We are getting him stuff that he likes, mainly anything to do with Spider-Man and some puzzles.

Yes, we're suckers for our kids. We get a lot of joy out of making them happy on Christmas.

My daughter begged for a Nintendo DS Lite and I did finally break down and get it. I'm a pushover. What can I say? I did NOT, however, get her a cell phone. She's only 8.
