No.. life is not defined by being associated with some network....living life to your fullest.. means discovering yourself, your purpose... very often we are part of something . say a party, yet feel distant. why is that. .. it is only because we dont enjoy being a part of the same.
living a full life does not mean that there is no happiness in being with oneself in complete solitude.. one needs only purpose.
i view assocation with something bigger only as a vehicle to do things on a large scale, or get access to bigger and better resources, more information.. yet u can bring fulfillment to ur life by probably changing the life of just one person. one can be completely at peace with oneself .. all u need is an attitude of contentment... what say buddy.

I say yes because everyone is looking most people for an answer some for how to obtain eternal life or something to make their life more full filling I'm a born-again Christian and a member of my church and got certificates for going through 5 Life classes and am a TEAM member at my church got a certificate of completion took our group nearly one year to do so. I'm in a leadership position at my church and signed up to be a guest care worker I haven't started yet but it's not hard i give a 1st time visitor to our church a gift box or bag and visit w/them and also answer questions like when is children's church or when does the youth group meet. I find it gives me a satisfying feeling that I'm contributing something to the church.

Yes, some people can be perfectly happy not belonging to anything. Christ did not belong to anything and I beleive he lived a very happy and full life. Its natural to have a feeling to want to belong, wolves run in packs, fish swim in schools, but it is just as natural to want to be alone. It boils down to a personal choice of wether or not YOU can be happy without belonging.

Yes you could be happy, but most people are emotionally weak. Hence most people seek social organizations that make them feel fulfillment. And as you can see there is good money to be made in running a religion.

We all belong to the bigger something called life.
In my opinion I wouldn't give your soul to your boss for any amount of money.
But trying to get along is a bit different, and is worth it if he pays you 50,000 dollars to do so.

no.
but it is one of the lower rungs on maslow's heirarchy of needs.
and most people will seek belonging as a need.
yes, one can be happy without a group.
but most people like to be in the company of like-minded folk.
and you can accomplish more with a group.
of course you also have social/political/conflict issues too.
study maslow's heirarchy of needs. i'm not saying it's true.
just a good thing to inform your search.

Shoot for the middle, as always. You won't be happy only as a blind follower and you won't be happy only as a free thinking individual. Actively define yourself, remember that there are tough periods as a rule, and always expect to have your questions answered, eventually.

Yes, I believe so. I think that we all have a need for other people and a need to be needed. We have a need to give to others of ourselves-our time and money and emotional and spiritual resources.

No, it is not.
Here is all that is necessary, be moral. And to be moral all that is required is that you not violate the Monolaw. ie, Don't do to another that which you would not have done to yourself.
Then, as long as your adhere to the Monolaw, follow your passion(s).
That's all there is to "it".

Think about all the first you are missing. Its only money. What makes you happy? You have one chance at life. Never lie, cheat , or steel. Let god handle those stuff.
