He was right IF you believe that by doing so he shortened the war in the Pacific. If you disagree with that then he was wrong.
Thats a very straightforward premise for something as historic and Im sure there are lots of views on the web

I happen to live in the city where he grew up but sadly I don't know alot about him. This might help you though. I never been in it but see it nearly everyday. :P By the way it took me less than 5 min to find this... and I did it through yahoo search while answering this question. Just searched for Harry S. Truman. So you couldn't of tried very hard.

thats messed up, was Truman really right about dropping the bomb? Ya it ended the war, but thats a messed up paper to write. I don't know if killing thousands is ever right
