I mean seriously, why does evryone want to know the latest celebrity gossip? it's because you have absolutrly no lives and have to buy magazines who pay photographer to stalk people and make a random flase rumors about them to keep thier audience listening and buying their product.

I'm not all that into the celebrity life bc I can care less about what they do but if celebrity entertainment is what some people like to watch and keep up with then that's what they like to do. It's not that they don't have lives, if that is what entertains them then so be it. It's the same with people that keep up with politics (do they not have lives?), people that keep up with certain t.v. shows or soap operas (do they not have lives), people that watch a certain sport team religiously(do they not have lives?). If some people like to keep up with celebrity lives then that's what they prefer to do in their spare time so why criticize them by saying they have no lives?

Thankyou, I couldn't have said it any better myself. I can't wait for the day people finally wake up and realize that they are wasting their precious time and money caring about useless celebrity matters when there's other important things happening in the world. Furthermore, my sole question I've been trying to get an answer to since this whole 'phenomena' happened;........why?
Honestly, I feel sorry (a little) for the people who buy into this celeb crap and see them as heroes. Do you honestly think celebs give a rat's a** about you? I think not. The only thing I see they care about (in my opinion) is making all that money, getting free stuff, complaining when things don't go their way and trying to enforce how you should live your life.
Finally, for all those who obsess over them....get a hobby :p

eh, I'm not into it that much, but to answer your question... I think the general public enjoys seeing that celebrities are not perfect as they seem at first glance. They do stupid things just like me and you too. Also, if you gossip about people you know, ur gonna be hated on... on the other hand, if you gossip about celebrities your just fun to talk to.

Just to make fun of them. See their wrong doings (it is in human nature to be happy to see when someone have problem to get curious). And paparazzi is associated with a problem.
While celebs things it is cool to being followed we (readers) watch them to make fun of them. Celebs who knows that hate them, others smiles to the cameras and tell all about them. SO more insight more to catch. It is like a puzzle. Weak ones gets picked out.. This is the REALITY.. When I read them I feel lucky about my life.. Hooray... I look better without make up, I'm smarter than them, And people love me not bug me!

It entertainment to me. I go to school and work, so a little celebrity gossip never hurts anybody.

Most of our lives are not completely centered around celebrity gossip. It is entertainment to us, not our lives. And, in my opinion, that's okay.

i hav life.. i go 2 school, mess about, get told off, come home to hear constant nagging, go out with my m8s but.. i do buy magazines nd watch reality shows but some people like me do this to pass time by.. i mean wat else can i do till my m8s come round or when i go out? nd if not that ... well thats just how it is Lol
