Don't try to be her parent, let her mom and dad do their job. I am a step parent and it is not easy, but I try to stay out of things as much as I can. They are just being kids.
I know it sounds easy, but it does take alot of patience.

The first thing is guide lines should be put in place from the beginning. Try and work things out, and lay down how things should be so that you can have a happy home, and respect each other space! So try and talk to you wife, and clear the air!

If you are looking for a clear answer you need to ask a clear question.
Step parenting is very frustrating. Please give the situation you are referring to, the age of the child, and some background and you may receive helpful answers.

Leaving with her what? You need to set down some rules and tell her this is how I run my house.
