I started smelling and hearing something in my bathroom from the otherside of the house...

I go up and check whats up, there is water everywhere, it's soaking up.. I see water spraying from the back of my toilet...

I layed about 40 towels around the place and now Im freaking out..

I turned off all the water to the house, but I have no idea how to fix this thing?

Any ideas what it could be? And do you think it would require some assistance from an expert?

well, you could turn off the water to the toilet, then turn it back on to the house and see if you still get leaking. if it is still leaking then the problem is in the pipe before the toilet, you'd have to get a plumber... if no more leaking, it could be that one of the joints is loose, or there is a seal broken. it'll take some quick eyeballing, but the first thing you need to do is figure out exactly where the leak is. could be a fairly easy problem to fix, if it's just a seal.

Probably the inline hose connections or shutoff valve is leaking or the bottom of the tank sprung a leak. Empty water from tank. Shut off water supply to tank. Tie a rag around back of shutoff valve and if it gets wet it is leaking possibly if it is not from the tank bottom. Look at tank bottom. See if everything is ok there such as bolts tight and plug is snug. The inline hose located after the shutoff valve usually leaks. Tighten slowly to snug. One other thing could be inside the toilet-shutoff..Get a kit and fix it.

THERE IS PROBABLY A LEAK IN THE SUPPLY LINE TO THE TOILET IF IT IS "SPRAYING" FROM THE BACK OF THE TOILET. IF THERE IS A SMALL VALVE BEHIND THE TOILET TURN IT OFF AND TURN THE WATER BACK ON TO YOUR HOUSE. THEN SLOWLY TURN THE WATER ON TO THE TOILET AND SEE WHERE IT IS COMMING FROM AND YOU MAY JUST NEED TO REPLACE THE SUPPLY TUBE. IF IS MORE THAN THAT YOU MAY NEED TO CALL A PLUMBER.

Water connection or you need a new wax ring. Every time you pull the toilet away you have to get a new wax ring. They also wear out with time. They cost about $2. So do the new hose connections.

Hi, it sounds like your drains have backed up and need clearing/ unblocking. A plumber with a set of drain rods and/or a plunger should be able to do this, or if you have lots of money you could call dyno rod!
