I find thin women/models are very attractive and don't feel that there should be a ban on it, but I also wish they would use larger models to let heaver women see the different fashions as well.

Wasn;t aware of a ban, but my guess would be as role models, or health issues: if they can add weight it would show more reasonable types to everyday people. However, if your interested in bicycles you don't go looking for skate boards. To a ban, maybe there were issues other than I knew, but are not most models used to sell the things they are wearing..

Although I never heard of this "ban", I can say that I agree with it, because girls are literally starving themselves and making their own bodies unhealthy just to get the cover of a magazine.

Secondly, they are setting a HORRIBLE example to the younger girls, saying that in order to be pretty, you MUST be under 100 pounds...

A girl yesterday asked this question on here: "I am 5'5" and I weigh 101 pounds, am I obese?"

That question alone tells you what kind of a message they are sending out to the younger age group... Making someone that is 101 pounds (which is UNDERWEIGHT), thinking that they are OBESE!... THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS!

I strongly agree with it... now I just wish they would do that here in America. Spain had the right idea.. that's for sure. I kind of wish they would ban airbrushing in the magazines as well.... they are creating and ideal that nobody can become because it's fake in the first place.

I think it was appropriate. Most models are obsessed with keeping weight down to a point where they don't realize how sick they look and how much damage they are doing to their bodies. On top of that, it is not sexy or attractive at all.

Yes, because they are starving themselves to death! Besides, when they are that thin they don't look good in anything they model.
