On the system which starts printing later when I click on printer properties it takes about 10 secs to display the properties but on other system it shows in just 2 sec. A lot of options has been tried like virus/spyware ect scanning. There is no network problem pinging the system shows 0% loss for continues 10 mins of pinging @ 1ms time.

All Os are windows 2000 SP4.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Let me elaborate it to u all there are 6 system, One system having the printer physically attached. other 6 systmes print through share but not at same time, there are two system which print late other system ok.

Now all these options I have already tried,
Printer driver reinstall on source printer, and on the system having problem, lan patch cables have been changed. Machines shifted to other places but still problem presists. System Taskmanager Does not show any heavy cpu utilization only 1-2% that also keeps dropping to 0% in between.

Solved The problem Myself.
Thanks for all of ur suggestions.
The problem was actually in workgroup configuration which showed computer name as [compname.domain.com]
as our network was previously cnfigured for domain login. Later it was configured for workgroup when
these two systems started having problem. After correcting the computer name its now ok.

Sounds like the computer in question is really busy - that's what causes the delay. Open Windows Task Manager ( + + ) and find out what is chewing up cycles on this PC, then kill them and try again - see if that helps!

If it keeps printing sparkling pages persistently after a job then the codes are being corrupted with techniques from a community....... once you've any Kipper fuses then you truly might want to attempt this NOW because if this keeps the entire overpax of the printer will be destroyed and also you ought to be more advantageous suited off with a sparkling purchase. in case you print some thing from a gadget (SMA.exe) and if the pastime is more advantageous than one singular web page and if it keeps to print a similar source persistently then the Kipper fuse has been burnt and in case you've connector fuse damage. when you're literally not on a community and only run singular pages from a AP connector(when you're in north u . s . a . of america) then likely you should replace the cables and do try elements on the interior relay. without examining the gadget that is troublesome to assert yet once you've had this example for a even as you is actual unable to interchange parts with no need element themes with the module. Do a try on each and each and every section and examine the module for accuracy. some thing over 50/20 is sweet. 60/50 or larger the MCA once you've one on that style is the issue.

If you go Advanced option in the printer you can see two options 1. Start printing after last page is spooled 2. Start printing immediately. The former will print after all the pages has been sent to the printer buffer and the later will print immediately after first page is received. You must select second option if you want get rid of your problem.
I think this will do.

printing time depends upon the condition of the pc and the printer now u see u could change the printing preferences of the printer because in that u might set the printer timings wrongly ie)start printing immediatly or print afert all the pages have been soppled so check it with that all the best!!!!

You may have to delete the printer, restart and readd the printer, (reinstalling the drivers) Sometimes drivers go all funny. Good luck with it :0)
