Honestly, before I went to see Casino Royale, I was like, "This guy's NOT James Bond, he will NEVER be James Bond!!" But then I saw it, and his performance really turned my opinion around. true, he doesn't look like the Bond we've grown accustomed to, but he really brought back all the real action and ruggedness of the Sean Connery glory days. Also, I liked how the plot was far more realistic and easy to follow that it has been in years. Where Pierce Brosnan's Bond was tooling around houses made of ice in an invisible Aston Martin to settle an African Conflict diamond debacle (???) in the last 007 movie, Daniel Craig's Bond is just a simple spy trying to win a poker tournament and take down the bad guy. Now THAT's a Bond I can relate to! I'm actually planning on going back to see it again, that's how much I liked it. Oh, and don't worry about lack of eye candy- there's something for everyone (Daniel Craig gets naked in one scene, and the girl love interest in the movie is smokin' hot!!)

I love the Bond movies, and after watching Casino Royale I'm hooked more than ever! Daniel Craig is definitely hot, hot, hot. Couldn't tear my eyes away from the screen. The movie was a little long, but well worth it.
Pierce Brosnan should not be criticized, however...the scripts he was given were total candy...and he did the best he could with it.
Sean Connery was great, too. I think you have to look at the movies based on the times they were filmed.

Everyone who has seen Casino Royale knows that Craig is the best Bond ever, but not everyone wants to admit it. He is a much better actor than Connery ever was. He's also physically the best Bond ever, without question. I wouldn't say Casino Royale is the best Bond movie ever, but it is up there. I've seen most of them, and to date the best one was "Her Majesty's Secret Service", starring George Lazenby and Telly Savalas.

He's the sort who grows on you.
His acting is impeccable in Casino Royale but I feel that he's short on style that Pierce Brosnan has.
It does not help that most of the other Bonds exudes great charisma.
But I'll say that give Daniel Craig a break, and I can't stop looking at him and say: Craggy.

Yes I saw the movie and thought it was great.....it's about time Bond went to the gym!! I like how they did not use any stupid unrealistic gadgets to get the bad guy (remember the invisible car in Die Another Day?? PLEASE!!)
Daniel Craig has the potential to be the best Bond since Connery....we'll have to wait and see how the next movie is....but I'm definatley looking forward to seeing it.....cheers!

nicely, he seems to be an excellent actor. He would not precisely appear as if the Bond defined in Ian Flemming's novels, yet however neither did Roger Moore and that i presumed he grow to be the main suitable Bond. i'm excited concerning the action picture and that i desire he would not screw it up.

He's the hard, cut version of Bond. The action, fighting Bond...but he is the ugliest Bond too, in my opinion, not quite as suave as his predecessors. I thought it was a great movie........
