Because of its nature. There is not a particular reason of it. Tobacco frees a lot of energy when it burns.
It is like fuel. Gasoline burns hotter that diesel, but airplanes fuel burns hotter than gasoline

if it burned cold that would be more interesting. it's hot because it's on fire
