This is a question that is going to be asked until the start of next season. As a Michigan fan I would LOVED to have seen a re-match in the national championship game, but as a football fan in general I can understand why they selected Florida.
Michigans only loss this season was the Ohio State, winning that game would have given them their shot at the national title, but they lost. Florida did play a tough schedule, and are deserving to play in that game as mucha s Michigan is. The problem with this season is that Ohio State is #1 and there are two #2 teams in the country.
So Ohio State will be the national champion absolutly DESTROYING Florida, and Michigan will DESSIMATE USC in the Rose Bowl, so just like a few years ago the country will be torn between the two teams that are deserving of the national Championship, Ohio State and Michigan.

If we are going strictly by the two best teams, Michigan and Ohio State should be playing. Lets not forget that Michigan lost to Ohio State at Ohio State (not exactly a neutral site). If we are looking for the new exciting matchup...then it should be Florida versus Ohio State.
All this being said it will be Ohio state versus Florida. This will be close because the motivation is much higher for Florida to win (they will feel like no one is giving them any respect). If this were a regular season match-up...Ohio would win by a ton...in the bowl though I think it will be closer. Florida better figure out how to stop a running quarterback soon though because they haven't handled it well this season and they are going up against one of the best.
USC is no where near Michigan. This won't be a blowout because Michigan is weak on offense. Yet Michigan will win this game.
Now the only concern I have for my two picked winners is that the rest of the big ten sucked this year (hard to tell exactly how good they are). But these two teams were a mile better than anyone in the conference.

It's not Florida State...It's the Florida Gators and it was the right decision. It would be unfair for Ohio State to play Michigan again. If Michigan beat Ohio State, both teams beat each other once and still Michigan would be the National Champion. That wouldn't be right. I think Ohio State vs. Florida is going to bea great matchup. Florida has a lot of speed and came out as the champion of the SEC which was the toughest conference in college football this year.

Florida.........Michigan had its' shot and lost. So suppose there were a rematch for the national title and this time Michigan wins. Hummm, would they TRULY be national champions since they lost to Ohio State the month before? Florida was the corect choice.

I would have prefered Michigan since I'm a fan but Florida will get creamed. They don't have the same style to even keep it close like Michigan did. OSU by 23 points.

Florida, as Michigan has already had its chance against Ohio State. If Michigan wanted to play for the National Title, they should have beaten OSU already.

Michigan. People punished them because of a belief that they have had their chance. I thought it was suppose to be about pairing the 2 best teams together. Every year, there is going to be a controversy. I'm almost done with college football.
