Yes, with the way things are in this world things are getting way out of hand and away from the true meaning of Christmas. The fact that Christmas is Jesus' birthday, and the way people are with ex: tmx elmo and playstation 3 how they "HAVE TO HAVE IT" this is not Christmas, this is selfish behavior! We should be celebrating the Birth of Jesus and yes it is fun to open gifts on Christmas, (for the children!!!!!!!!) and time to be with your loved ones, you never know when we may never see them again, So spend your time that you have off WORK with your FAMILY AND FRIENDS and don't worry about oh what am i suppose to get my 3rd cousin son's friends aunt for Christmas, just think about the ones that are around you right now! And Remember...Jesus is the REASON for the SEASON!

ABSOLUTELY!!!! Between all of the gifts and the PC in the world (can't say Christmas...must be Happy Holidays) it's a nightmare. Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Christ (hence the name) Like it or don't celebrate it.

No, it used to be a big pagan celebration, now false christians are carrying the torch. Jesus and his followers never celebrated Christmas. Not until Constantine the sunworshipper, who celebrated winter solstice came along did this pagan tradition became part of the then diluted Christendom.

Yes. People are becoming far too materialistic. I saw a commercial last night that said it's not your clothes, music, or neighborhood that tells who you really are; it's your watch. I would say it's your personality, but that can't be bought at a store.
