I mean, it does seem like the Latino population is forever increasing. They've become the biggest minority group. I heard somewhere that years down the road, Mexicans will outnumber white people in the US

It would be possible for a person with Mexican parentage or who'd had dual Mexican-US citizenship to become President. (Gov. Richardson of New Mexico would fall into that category.) He would, however, have to be American by birth, even if he was also something else.

The President of the USA cannot ever be a Mexican unless we change the Constitution. Only natural-born Americans may assume the office of President. Of course, it is entirely possible that an American of Mexican descent may become President, in the same way that we have had Presidents of Irish, English, Scottish, Dutch and German descent (and that's just off the top of my head). He or she will still be an American, sworn to uphold American values as defined by the Constitution. It is up to the people to define what those values mean in today's society.

That all depends on your definition of 'mexican'. If you mean a mexican immigrant, that can NEVER happen. If you mean a decendent of Mexicans, then I see nothing wrong with that.

The constitution states that the president has to be a natural born citizen and that they had to be born on US soil or on a military base. So a Mexican immigrant can never be president, for that matter, no immigrant can ever be president.

Article II, Section I of the Constitution states that only a person born in the U.S. can become president. However, an American of Hispanic descent who was born in the U.S. can become president.

Only people born in the US can run for President, so we can't have a "Mexican President"

They probably will outnumber everyone else, since they are so bent on over populating the US and the planet for that fact. Americans would never vote for a Mexican president.

Under the constitution of the USA, the president has to be born there. So by default, he has to be an American.

As long as he was born in the US, it's OK.
This country will belong to China one day. FYI

In the scenario you proposed, it would just become like Mexico. Wonderful, huh? I think we both know the answer to that.

Considering that we've had 200+ years of WASPie leaders, I don't think it will change any time soon.
