How do you feel about having sex with your someone while it is that time of the month? Do you feel closer? Is it romantic?

I am not particularly crazy about it. I am not crazy about the blood, it is just kind of disturbing. Usually, the only time my wife and I do it during that time is in the shower so the blood washes away quickly and I do not have to see it really.

Well, you're less likely to get pregnant (less likely--it could still happen.) So maybe that would ease some worries about birth control if you're an especially fertile type. Then, maybe you'd be more relaxed.

I don't have periods anymore because I'm on the mini-pill for my polycystic ovary syndrome and I take hormones every day. So it's not really an issue for me (well, sex isn't an issue for me at all right now. No bf--waaahhh!)

It's weird how grossed-out some guys are about periods. I mean, they're all-natural...what's the big deal?!? Some guys won't even buy tampons or period pads, which I totally don't understand. Like people think the guys are using them? If I saw a guy buying period products, I'd think he was doing a favor for a female in a time of need. Which is nice. So I'd have a better opinion of the guy than some guy who flips out over a box of little wads of cotton with strings attached.

Geez, males! Grow up!

My boyfriend earned his red wings earlier this year. Since he is not signed up I'll have to answer for him.

He absolutely loves having sex when it's that time of the month for me. He doesn't mind the blood at all. Although I'd prefer to wait till the next week. It's actually odd that it feel BETTER for me when it's that time of the month. So it does feel more romantic....

It is something you should both feel comfortable doing without any pressure from the other. If one of you are not comfortable, they should feel forced or coerced into it. That is one of the worst things for a relationship. You should both be open and honest with your feelings and those feelings should be respected if you really care about eachother.
Talking and understanding eachother will bring you closer.
