ok first i know i should go to the doctor and i am very soon. but i like to se all of your opinions as well. ok i have never missed a period or even been more than 2 days late before. my husband and i are trying to have a baby. as of today i am over a week late on my period, i have taken 2 pregnany tests and they were both negative, i am not stressed and i do not have a stressful life. the only thing i can think of is that my doctor put me on prevacid for for 6 weeks and i stopped taking it after 2 1/2 weeks because of the horrible things i read about it. none of the side effects listed are a missed period. but i read about 2 girls saying that it causes missed periods. but what are the odds right? i guess my question is what are the chances of a pregnancy test being wrong one week after a missed period? or has anybody had this happen to them after taking prevacid. oh i used first response hpt

I think it's EPT that detects the lowest HCG level.....you could try that test....or a blood test. Call a pharmacy and ask them if that is a side effect of the medication if it's not, then go to the Dr. like you planned on. Wanting to get pregnant can cause you to feel pregnant. Your mind can play tricks on you. So just stay calm and wait until your Dr. appointment. Take care=)

well i thought i was prego last month and i was 5-7 days late...i also took pregnancy test and they also read negative. so i went ti the doctor and they told me that the egg well not go to the uterus until 7-10 after the first 5 days after your missed period. so you might want to wait one more week to take a other test...then if it reads negative then...i suggest to go to the doctor.

If you think your pregnant and your not your body will go through changes like you are pregnant. I would just get a blood test to be for sure. I don't think a pregnancy test is 100%

if you think about it your mind does play games. it happend to me i missed my period and i thought i was pregnant, i even began to feel symptoms i took a test at a local clinic and they told me i was pregnant. then two weeks after i found out i was "pregnant" i felt strange so i took another test and it came out negative. i went to see the doctor and not even he could tell me why this happened. so be careful.
p.s has this ever happened to anyone, i know its weird?
