Your bias is immediately apparent with the word "slaughter," but for the record, I value the lives of animals too. Please understand that people *kill* animals for good reasons and sometimes for bad ones (i.e. for "sport," which is not okay and is highly disrespectful to nature), but they *slaughter* animals without rhyme or reason; the highest offense to nature being the abdication of reason/rationality, nature's greatest gift to the nature of humanity.

Fact is, nature has established that we have to eat animals in order to live, because their meat contains several amino acids (I believe it is 7) which cannot be consumed by any other food source and cannot be produced internally. So we have to eat animals, and this fact is unavoidable and undeniable, even with modern technology, but now you want us to consider eating our own (humans)? This is wrong on so many levels, so I'll begin with evolution and human nature, but a commandment from God is sufficient for most people. People are naturally disgusted about the idea of eating another person, but if that isn't enough for you, such a practice actually fights evolution in that it destroys our species.

Now war against other humans is necessary for a great many legitimate reasons, but not for dinner; though I concede that most justifications of war against other humans are typically/traditionally illegitimate being founded merely in the quest for power by the practice of politics. I'll end on this note so as not to digress into the morality of war: The killing of animals is essential for human survival and health, and is therefore justified for us on that basis alone.

i actual enjoyed Kitkat's answer. it particularly is alongside my line of thinking. i've got self belief it particularly is genuinely unacceptable morally to kill for the sake of convenience. Commisioner David Stern of the NBA tried to flow to a cruelty loose, synthethic skinned basketball. The superstar gamers complained that it wasn't as uncomplicated to hold close. They went superb decrease back to leather-based. this is extra significant to throw a ball by using a stupid desire repeatedly back than it particularly is end using some thing derived from a cow's cover. regrettably, it particularly is a significant occasion of ways boastful we are as a human race. If an 80 year previous guy gets a terminal ailment and starts off to apply a drug that grow to be established on a lab animal; is six extra months of existence particularly worth snuffing the animals existence out? do no longer do it on my acoount. i will die besides. on the different hand if a misquito is biting me ,this is me or it. i'm no longer taking this is interest at heart by way of fact this isn't any longer thinking mine. Borrowing that I say, "stay and enable stay". they have only as lots superb to an entire lifespan that i do. I downsize i to make a Buddhists element.

Man was given clean animals to eat after the Flood. That is why noah took 7 clean animals and just a pair of unclean animals like pig into the ark, and note this was thousands of years before there was a nation of Isreal or a tribe of Juda

Most people kill the weakest thing they can. Like a husband beating on his wife. Really its the other way around. A female sex offender, won't go to jail for having sex with a minor, because she is too pretty, but if an animal is slaughtered, then animals rights groups come down like crazy while all the soldiers in Iraq die and a lady in my church commits sucide and kills her two kids because her husband is deployed.

Are you serious? It says in the Bible that animals were put on Earth for the survival of mankind. Just for that, for every animal you don't eat.... I'm gonna eat three!

No. Animals were created without souls so they are not important as people.

Who are you? Hannibal Lecter?

We EAT the animals. I prefer my animal dead when I eat it - apart from oysters, of course.
