Holidays always get commercialised, Christmas is whatever you want it to be. It's undeniable that Christmas indeed has pagan origins in its traditions, one of the dead popes did that he wanted to get the pagans to celebrate our holidays so he just mixed the holidays, Christmas's traditions are redefined versions of the pagan holiday Yule. however, this has nothing to do with why it's commercialised, it's commercialised because people make a lot of money that way. If you don't like it, don't buy their products, just celebrate christmas by the meaning you would like it to have.

Remember Jesus overturning the tables of money changers as he entered Jeruselem on Passover? He was mad at the commercialization of the passover feast. So don't blame the pagans. (They didn't hang pornographic ornaments of their trees either). Blame Human nature.
In the meantime, celebrate Christmas and any other holiday you worship on your own terms. It's that simple.

Whew, that is disgusting. Some non Christians will do anything to attract attention to themselves. Celebrate Christmas the way you feel it should be celebrated and ignore this thing completely. Really have nothing to do with it.

It's no different than any other holiday where the true purpose is skewed to fullfill carnal desires.
Look at where this world is going and today's children. You never heard of kids going to school with guns 50 years ago or single parenting as the norm.

You see what you want to see. If you want to find the negative it is your choice.
I see a time of generosity and good cheer and the celebration of the birthday of someone who taught love, generosity and kindness. Some people give cookies, some people give cars, judge not...

It's not commercialized because it's of Pagan origin. It's commercialized because modern businesses never miss an opportunity.
It would have happened regardless of where it came from.
