I've noticed many PBA bowlers seem to either blow into or smell their bowling balls with their nose before throwing...i.e.Wes Mallot, Bob Learn Jr....what is that all about?

I blow into the thumb hole to warm it up and help my thumb after I use the rosin bag. Just adds to my ability to grip the thumbhole better. Some bowlers do that to dry the hole up when the hand dryer on the ball return does not work.

Getting 8 off a million ball is plausible and has got here about two times to my knowlegde. Symonds and Clarke ran 4 runs and then the ball went for 4 overthrows in a try journey one time, then Afridi managed to hit the roof of a stadium which the communities had determined previously the journey must be properly worth 8 runs.

to make sure the holes are dry mainly the thumb.so the ball will not slip off while they are making their approach

They do this to dry the persperation that is in there it makes the thumb hole a little tighter
