The whole Simpson clan (OJ, Jessica, Homer, Marge [even though she may have married into it], Bart, Lisa, and Maggie) can be traced back to Derek the Fool. In 1327, Derek the Fool set out to design what would have been a the most impregnable fortress ever built for Grand Master Claude Chaumbley of the Templer Knights.
Of course history shows that once built the fortress proved so formidable that nothing could get in or out...not even air. With his last breath Claude cursed Derek and his progeny that no matter the height of success that they might see...they would always be seen for the fools that they are.
