Why do men cheat? It feels good ? They can...or is there a deeper meaning behind it like self-esteem problems?

This is a huge reason, if not the main reason, why people cheat, IMO. For some people, one relationship isn't enough to support their self image (so many people cannot maintain their own esteem so they look to outside sources). Some people need additional support and are egocentric or maybe just suffering so much they don't look at how it will affect themselves or others. Men who are 'players' and who talk themselves up, flirt, cheat...those are the ones who have no internal strength. They are flimsy, weak and lack any self respect. They need to constantly remind themselves they are worth something by bragging. And their lack of boundaries shows how much they actually dislike themselves to screw their lives up that badly. Most of those habits are hard to change because they need to happen with therapy, something a lot of people refuse to admit they need. (it's hard to admit you're vulnerable when you're a big tough guy.)

It is not about self image although it can be. It is about winning. Guys are just competitive and sex with different women is like scoring more points. The more difficult it is to score the more points, but an easy score is still a score. It didn't even come across as a possibility of hurting anyone until after the fact.
Remorse only comes into play if they get caught. I tend to use dogs for an analogy. A dog will tare into the garbage, eat your favorite shoe, or piss in the corner. You come home and he is all happy to see you until you notice the garbage all over the floor.
The best impact on preventing cheating is to have the conversation early in the relationship. Most specifically, and this is important, have him look you in the eye when he tells you that he will not have sex with anyone else.
They have to say the words, and they have to look you in the eye. If they don't do this there is deniability. Like if they just anwer with yes or sure, you can't absolutely positively pin them down. Because, what were they saying yes to?
By the way, direct eye contact with specific words of understanding work for all sorts of things including taking out the garbage, doing the dishes, or putting the toilet seat down. All you have to do is be specific.

Men Cheat for a lot of reasons but as a man I would have to say its out of boredom. I mean it doesn't matter how hot your girlfriend is a man is always gonna wanna have sex with another girl. Every man has the capacity to cheat as well. I mean look at Hallie berry's Ex husband...He was married to one of the hottest women on the planet and he still cheated. I think it's in our nature...but you girls have to realize...the only way to stop men from cheating is to unite as women and stop letting men cheat. Because for every man that is cheating..there is a women who is letting him do it. Meaning all the girls I have hooked up with knew I had a girlfriend and they didn't care. I don't think it has anything to do at all with Low self esteem.

Anybody, male or female cheats because they only care about themselves, not the people they end up hurting, they're selfish. I don't think it's low self-esteem and I wish that expression wasn't used as an excuse for bad behavior, stupidity, taking abuse or immorality anymore. Cheaters are liars, manipulators and narcissists.

Constantly worried, or angry about something that is happening in your life

If you change your thinking, you will change your life. This is the basic idea behind CBT for anxiety. The Cognitive part is where you learn nee methods and ways to change your same old habits and thinking patterns. If you keep thinking and expecting the worst – You will continue to suffer.

Yes; they are trying to feel something that would never be filled, which is why they keep doing it. It's like being a shopaholic, you try to get satisfaction through that activity and it only boosts your spirits for a limited time. Cheating is for stupid people really.

Boy, is that a loaded question! There can be any number of reasons. Stemming from early childhood (the self-esteem thing) to being obsessed w/ sex,( another psycological problem), to just plain being a pig!

no no no no u have got all wrong, u see men cheat because the woman that they are with then while cheating is to A: get back at them because they did it. Or B: The woman that they are cheating on got boring! And C:They like to heat things up or they just got drunk.

men cheat for many reasons. not getting enough sex at home. mate will not experiment with different positions. because the girl is hot. etc.
on the other side women cheat too. They just don't get caught to often.

they cheat bc they want a diff pu-tang...but thats a very stereotypical que.not all men cheat...girls cheat just as much as guys we just dont have talk shows and websites to cry bout it on
