I don't always have cash or a letter from the bank for a check.
I sure would buy more if I could use a card.

There are several reasons.

A big one is that the Charge Card company places a fee on each and every transaction. There is a price per transaction and a % of the transaction.

The other is that it take time to work out all the details and transactions and auctioneers want to close things out immediately. The Estate isn't going to take the risk.

Because they are mobile and go from place to place, they are not always set up to handle credit card checks to validate the card, leaving them open to fraud.

Probably because it costs @ 4% to use a cc and estate sellers and auctioneers want to liquidate as fast as possible and not deal with a third party like a credit card company.

Some auctions do take them!

Why don't you use the checks that your charge card company sends you every month? (You pay the fees!)
