I'm getting an ipod for my daughter for Christmas. Should I have her email adress engraved on it in case she loses it?

Why not? It's free. That way she could identify it as well among her friend's ipods

That is a great idea. I wish I would have thought of that for mine. It isn't a guarantee that you will get it back but at least if someone does keep it they have to live with the guilt that they know they could give it back. I would definitely do that. Also apple allows you to write two lines, you may want to add a quick sentimental phrase as well, to make the gift that much more special! Merry Christmas!
