Last night my roomate & I used a box of light brown hair color and somehow ended up getting some color on the back of one of our kitchen chairs. It is a light wood color and we're not really sure how to get it to come off beside getting some sandpaper and hoping it's the same color wood underneath...
Any ideas would really help, Thank you!

I've had some luck with hydrogen peroxide (the 3% stuff from the drugstore), but it depends on the surface. (You could try the stronger stuff, too)

Put a paper towel on the stain. Wet the towel with peroxide. Let sit. Check periodically. Good luck !

if you use sandpaper you will ruin the chair.
Try using regular soap and water or WD40 and a soft rag. Anything that won't ruin the finish on the chairs.

more than likely...its there...for good. If you sand it off, you're going to be down to barewood and no, its not going to be the same color. once you put hair color on something, it soaks in, thats how it stay in your hair.

You could try hair spary, it works on clothing, I can't see it hurting the wood.
