i dont even see the point of wasting our energy debating this anymore. its just a pure waste. whether it came into existence by chance or otherwise, the facts are that we are here and somehow we're eventually gonna leave here. even if they were to "prove" somehow it came into existence one way or the other, what good would it actually do?

The probability of something just evolving from nothing is 0 because evolution is a cause-and-effect process and there would have been nothing to cause it to be.
The probability that a God(dess)(s) came into existence out of nothing is 0 for the same reason.
The probability that the universe is here is 1. Doesn't sound so improbable to me! :-)

hey buddy, probability is nothing but for eg: if ur having 3 playing cards and while shuffling some times it may show u the card which u want frm the 3 and this is calculated in probability. Its a probability that u were born and think if u were'nt thn. I just informed this b'coz its evolution and this cannot b changed.
pls don't talk about Gods and Goddesses

You're saying SUPPOSING THAT the universe popped into existence, then 'anything is possible'.
1) No one supposes that.
2) The possiblity of anything doesn't follow.
The apparent complexity of the universe can be accounted for on naturalistic terms. It is not random.

There is a group of physicists that are studying this. They are working on "The Theory of Everything" that was initiated by Einstein.
I don't know beans about physics, but the prevailing concept is called "M Theory" which involves eleven dimensions and particles that interact between them.
So, yeah, I think it's possible to just accidentally happen.

I am constantly amazed at the complexity and vastness of our universe. To me, nature shouts that this world and the vast planetary "community" in which we live is not a coincidence. Take for instance the intricate design of the tiniest animals and what they can create (perfect mathematical designs in spider webs for example) compared with the unimaginable hugeness (sorry-that's probably not a word!) of space. I am always in awe of how teeny tiny our world is in relation to the vast universe of constellations and such. Such a tiny planet (compared to the universe) yet with such amazingly complex micro-organisms. To me this says that we have a incredibly powerful Creator Who cares about the smallest things but has the power to create absolutely anything He wants. Just *imagine* for a minute with me that the Creator of the vast universe has just a little bit more intelligence than us and perhaps we can't possibly fathom how He came into being (or the universe for that matter.) : )

the universe came with rules ( unlike that silly omnipotent God fantasy )
and note that the universe did not evolve out of nothing ( we don't know WHAT but it had to be something - at least an energy potential - matter is the NEW thing that came with the universe )
the God theory is the strange one according to the hard core Christians he has always been around ( ? ) yet has no source ( ? ? ) and yet he just got around to making us a few thousand years ago ( ? ? ? ) NOW THAT'S IMPROBABLE

If "nothing" was the start, then you need something different than it to begin. If you want to support a Universe without God, then matter should always exist.

Yes, it is improbable. A real miracle, if one were to study out the designs and all the factors that have to be just perfect in order for this balance to exist.

If it did,
things would happen randomly
there is a slim chance of anything evolving but there was a lot of time
most Gods/Godess exist outside of time and there fore they would not come into existance the would simply be
Yes.
