PS. To the person who called me cracker and honkey... You have hurt me emotionally and I want to be paid for it. $ 10 or 20 would suffice.

Somebody said, "All white people are white".

I beg to differ... If you take any white person alive and spread white-out onto their arm, do you think that they would see the white-out or would it stand out?

Never fear my dear downinmn, I have your solution. Just as Broadway has it's off B'way shows and off off B'way shows, it could be the same way for us.. Some of your friends should be refered to as, off off white.

I know why it's insulting. Who would want to be colorless? Not me. Anyways, all white people are white. If they're beige it's because they spend some time outside. Yeah, the term caucasian has been around a while and should be used more oftenly until it is the permanent name because it really is insulting to be called white. Yes, a person can be proud to be of this race, but I think it's mean to be called by a color. The term should be caucasian..........

Dear Off White American,

I agree. LOL! I've never met a white person who was actually the color white. Or, for that matter a black person who was actually the color black. I'll start calling my friends off white american and demand to be called brown american. However, there's a problem, many of my friends who are caucasian are darker than off white; some are even light brown. Oh no, I see confusion coming . . .

"Caucasian" sounds so plain to me. My background is so mixed I hate to be categorized into something so simple. Why can't people just be called by who they are? Their Name, or if the name isn't known, sir or miss (some people don't like being called Mame/Madame). The thing that bothers me MOST is when say an "African American" can call another "African American" a ******, or *****, whatever, but if a "White" person were to call them that? OHHHHHHHH MAN - then there'd be problems. But that is a whole other question, and a whole other can of worms.

Personally I'd prefer beige or maybe pink.

Maybe we should all be classified by skin type more accurately. Instead of just one "white" race, we'd have, among others, "off-white", "beige", "light-tan", "tanned" and "George Hamilton".

Each sub-group would only have a few hundred people in it and then *we'd* be oppressed minorities!

Only when all slightly-pale-ivory-colored people unite, can we fight for our rights!

Doesn't bother me.... although albino might be the better term, lol. Being offended isn't somebody saying something to someone else. Being offended is taking what somebody said too seriously. Ultimately... you are the one who can control whether or not you are offended by something.

Man! I don't understand your question!
Is it because I am a Caucasian European?
I know, we should answer a question by an answer and not a question, but I try to better my English at all cost that why I right now don't follow that basically rule...

EXACTLY!!! it bugs me too. I feel like, you don't EVER hear us "white people" bitchen because someone called us "white". Oh but heaven forbit you call a black person black, you'll get shot or something. Same with, if you call a Hispanic a Mexican, you'll get shot too. I guess us "white folk" are alot more laid back then others. I guess it's all just a double standard.
