my husband was watching football, and i noticed that many of the players had what appear to be "fanny packs" around their waists.....what is that??

THEY WEAR THEM TO PUT THEIR HANDS IN BETWEEN PLAYS TO STAY WARM. TYPICALLY IT IS THE SKILL PLAYERS WHO WEAR THEN, THEY NEED TO USE THEIR HANDS AND MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GRIP THE BALL IF THEY ARE TOO COLD.
