I haven't read much about this but I think your rating on the scale can be fluid throughout life.
As a teenager I was a 2
In college I was a 4
For the last 20 years I've been a 5
Today maybe a 4

A happy 2! That is, at least, my own approximation, since the Kinsey scale doesn't take a lot into account (like fantasies, etc., which are included in the Klein Scale), and does put some emphasis on experience (doesn't suit me- I'm a virgin!), but by self-analysis, a two.
