for starters get a humidifier and keep it full and running plus a little vasiline in your nose just before bed time. i do this every winter cuz i have the same prob and it realy helps. the vasiline keeps your mucus membranes moist.
eat cabage raw is the best for you it also helps prevent nosebleeds, i like the heart. sometimes you can buy just the heart or cloeslaw is pretty good.

More humidity in your home would help. When you get a nose bleed using the pressure point that is directly under the nose. In the centre will assist in stopping nose bleeds, un-cramp a muscle, and is advantageous if suffering a stroke or heart attack. Leafy greens particularly spinach and kale, sea weed (kelp, dulse) will also help. Drink lots of water to stay hydrated. 7 out of 10 times when we think we are hungry we are actually thirsty and do not recognize we are dehydrated.
if there is some one with you when you get a nose bleed lay down on the floor and be in you stocking feet or barefoot. Raise the foot that is on the same side that you are bleeding from in your nose then have the person strike firmly on the centre of the heel of that foot with the heel of their hand not to jar you or injure you but firmly enough. I will say ~ 10 lbs.pressure. and this will stop the nose bleed instantaneously.

Your nose bleeds are probably caused by the lack of moisture in the air. Try a saline solution. I doubt the blood loss is dangerous, your body will automatically regenerate the blood for you.

Saline spray will help to keep your nose from drying out, and also help to clear your sinuses of congestion.
The blood you lose probably looks a lot worse than it is. Your body will replace the fluid lost within a day. Taking an iron supplement will help to replace red blood cells a little faster.

Winter nose bleed can sometimes be caused by the lack of moisture in the air. Try buying a saline nasal spray. This isn't a decongestant...rather it is a salt and water solution used to lubricate the nasal area. If this doesn't help..go to your doctor.

Sometimes the air in houses is too dry and it can cause this. Keep yourself hydrated, and keep bottles of saline nose spray in your purse/clovebox, and medicine cabinets. Also try investing in a good dehumidifier for your home, or if you have a wood stove get a pan of water and keep it on top to put moisture back in the air.

the above answer is good but backwards , the air in winter is too dry so you want to add moisture to it so you need a humidifier not a dehumidifier.
