No, I think children do. Our role in the world is difficult, and we've done pretty d*mn well for the crap we've been through. We do a lot of good, and contribute a lot to societies. We haven't always done well when we've actually gained a position of power though, some have been quite selfish and sefl absorbed [Cleopatra at times, Marie Antoinette].
We have it good, bad, inbetween, really good, horrible, okay, and every other level.
On a side note, I read about three ancient tribes [New Guinea??] where one was patriarchal, one was even power wise, and one ws matriarchal, still functioning today. What does that say??

Do women have the most pain in the world? No. However I would agree that they do thier fair share to make pain in the world. Men will jump out of planes, walk into gun fire, rush into burning buildings, but get nervous about asking a woman to dance. You women reading this should begin to understand the power you have.

With mom and dad working and at least half of all marriages ending in divorce, who is raising the kids? Mom needs a career and of course equal pay, while dad is either not living in the same house or gone to work as well. So who is raising the kids? I think parents inflict the pain and kids learn to live with it. To bad. Of all the times that kids have taken guns to school and gone on a shooting spree, how many came form intact homes with parents who played traditional roles? I rest my case...kids do the bulk of the suffering.

There are more women in the world than men. Its a statistical fact. More babies are born female. In a democracy where women are allowed to vote, it stands to reason that they should rule. So if women have the majority vote, and suffer the most pain, who's fault would that be? If your refering to childbirth, we have drugs now so even that is not as valid as it may have been once upon a time. Further more no one is FORCING you to get pregnant and have kids. Its your body, and it was decided a long time ago that women could decide what went on in there, thats why abortion was made legal.

If you still feel you suffer too much, feel free to turn out for the next election and cast a different ballot. Or better still quit complaining and throw your hat in the ring and run for office. Remember you have more women in the world, so perhaps you should rule. As for me, I still say its the kids.

i think women have to deal with a lot of issues men don't. i learned from my sociology course that women deal with a whole lot of discrimination just because they are women. for example, a female-headed household is almost twice as likely to experience poverty than a male-headed household. also, women are definately going to make less than men even in female-dominated jobs. for these reasons, women have an easier time overcoming life issues, and that's why some think women have more pain in the world.

on the other hand, though, think of all the things a woman can do that a man can't. a woman has the power to give birth and raise a child. giving birth is probably one of the most fascinating things in the world - you create another life. a woman can also boast great careers as well and educations to overcome the odds i stated above. there is an increasing number of women doctors and engineers taking over the once male-dominated sectors of careers.

therefore, women don't have more pain in the world; we just have a lot to deal with and overcome. but it's ok, women are stronger than men anyway. we will surely overcome.

somehow, I don't feel like the pain of childbirth compares to what a bunch of young men - on both sides - went through on the Russian front in WWII. So what if it was buttheaded, regressive male leadership that put them there? If we're trying to quantify suffering, let's have some perspective - years of unnappreciated misery, a living hell with a nothing but another hell in a work camp (for a lot of them) to look forward to even if they survived, and little besides a sense of duty and a gossamer thread bagfull of gooseshit promises of a Vahalla somewhere down the road to sustain them. Read up on it. Makes getting gassed in a death camp seem like a walk in the park.

Men have ALWAYS done the worst things to other men.

Ever try to pass a kidney stone? Been told it's like giving birth.

The tubes the stones must pass through do not ex-pan like the glorious canal the baby is passing through.

I am glad I'm not equipped to have babies and hope I never see another kidney stone.

And, when a women becomes a big pain in the rear end my answer would be no.

No, try being a black male in America. This system is designed for blacks to fail. The educational system in black communities are grossly inadequate. The justice system is racist, that is why 12% of the population make up 80% of the people incarcerated. The politicians is trying to overturn integration of schools. Affirmation Action is constantly under attack, and the majority of the people that benefitted from it were white females. More than half of black males in this country are unemployed. Finally, the life expectancy of black males is 55 years old.

In the 1850's in England, men had the legal right to beat their wives with a stick, as long as it was not thicker than their thumbs, and if she refused to have sex with him, he could lock her up. Since the beginning of time women have been mistreated and under rated. Hopefully, the recent progress they've made in gaining more respect will continue upwards.

Of course women have more pain then men. We have to
put up with men in addition to giving birth, raising
children and then go through the change! We have to have our breasts examine which requires that we
place our breasts into a machine that then flattens them. Yes, women suffer more than men.

I do agree that women have pain in the world, but I also agree that men also share the same amount of pain. Both have their same amount of pressure that they have to manage in their lives.
