If they're in danger or being hurt it's ok, but on a rollercoaster, at a concert or even when they just get a fright they scream, what's that about, men don't do that, they just shout WOOOOOOOOOOOO or something similar!

Part of it is the environment...if a girl is raised by a bunch of men, she won't scream as much. Likewise, if a guy is raised by several women, he will undoubtedly turn into a mama's boy and whine like a little girl.

i think that's a generalization and it's totally untrue. i know many guys that also scream on rollercoasters as well as let out bursts of yells in movie theaters in horror movies as well. screaming is just a form of letting emotions out rapidly. it doesn't mean you're scared necessarily. for example, on a roller coaster, people scream even before they hit the drops. this is usually because they are so excited for what is about to come. at concerts, the screaming eggs the performers on - almost everyone participates. in movies, the screams come as a result of actions or loud noises on the screen.
and it isn't just women; it's men too.

I don't know why, but I wish they would stop. It makes me ashamed of women in general. What really gets me is how we are portrayed in movies, always falling down, can't run, standing there holding a weapon and dropping it or just not using it, all the while screamin their heads off! It's demeaning. I would love to be the girl in those movies, I'd kick some serious A$$!
