No way!!!! that makes way too much sense.

We need to make things as difficult as possible.

The bottom line is that Michigan did have their chance and came up short. Additionally, Michigan's strength of schedule was much weaker with only two quality wins compared to Florida's strength of schedule with five ranked opponents and eight opponents with winning records.

The problem with a Michigan and Florida playoff then becomes, what about the #4 team? Should LSU be taken into consideration? Or even, what about #5-#8? One of those teams is undefeated, two of them have only one loss (Boise St, Louisville, and Wisconsin). Even if you create a month long playoff with teams 1-8 competing elimination style 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5 over three weeks, then you have a bunch of one or two loss teams in 11-16 or even the entire top 25, arguing that they wrongfully missed the cut.

Unlike basketball with over 64 teams in the tournament, because they can play games every 3-5 days, and declare a champion within a month; football is a lot more complicated being that a team can play one game a week. An 8 team playoff, adds three games onto a season that's already 10-13 games per team. Many college athletes these days are two sport players that are ready to jump into basketball season or training for baseball.

The bowl set up and BCS are not perfect, and arguments and flaws are pointed out every year. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a system that can be put into place that would be foolproof and completely fair. Not to mention the fact that Bowl committees and sponsors have such a big voice, the NCAA isn't about to change the system anytime soon. . . .Money talks.

If they played Lets see hmmm Michigan would win easily. # 2 defense in the nation great core of recievers and a Great running back by the name of Hart. But it won't Happen. Florida wouldn,t have a chance against the Wolverines SEC Is weak. OHIO State will kill the gators. Why is it that the SEC has Declined to play the Big Ten Away from there home Field in the Reg Season. The offers have been there Michigan asked Wisconsin asked along wit OS Wait I know its because they know how Dangerous we are in the big ten. To ans your Q Mich would win Easily!! By the way OS 48 Gators 10, Earlier this year Michigan man handle Vanderbilt 27-7 and Florida won by 6

The Buckeyes are going to win regardless, so it doesn't really matter who they play.

An OSU/UM rematch would've been interesting, but at least The Big 10 can finally shut up the SEC's whining about not getting in the championship game.

Yes! The decision made by officials actually left me wondering..what is the rule ??? I guess there is no rule or rules are not good enough....left Michigan's fans really mad.... I would do what you said.....but college football is something you may not be able to understand even after watching it your whole life...well now its too late gators are in the final.....I really felt bad for Michigan!!

Why can't people see that Michigan had their shot and lost....Florida played much harder teams throughout and only lost to us (Auburn).

No. I think the loser of that game just takes 2nd place and Ohio State stays in 1st and automatically wins the N.C.
