Well for one thing, age and experience gives many parents much more insight and sound judgement than their children have. From your picture you look like you may be a drunk so (assuming your mothers is not a drunk also) she may be giving you advice that is sound and accurate. I have a parallel question: Why do youngsters think they know more about life than someone that has lived longer than they have? Now THAT'S a question I would like to hear an answer for.

They don't think they're right, they know their right...Through their personal experience they just want what's best for you..even though now you may not realize that but when your older, and have your own children, you will realize that your mother was right.

My mother's excuse was always that she had more experience than me and that meant that she always knew better than I did about everything.

Because they have lived it.. done it.. seen it. and been through it.. what they don't want you to have to suffer to go through it ..But some have to go through it to learn it..Mothers don't want the same suffering for their Children.That they had to suffer...That is why we know it and know that we are right..So if you don't want to listen then you will go through it to learn it .You can tell your children the same thing...And they will think the same thing about you..God bless us all and Merry Christmas...
