A follow up question would be was there ever an NFL QB with a QB rating of 12.0 over 2 consecutive complete games that kept his starting job.

In the 1998 season, Ryan Leaf played against the KC Chiefs in the 3rd game of the season & went 1 for 15 with 4 yards, 0 TDs & 2 INTs (QB rating of 0.0).

To answer your follow-up, the next game Leaf went for 15 for 34 with 193 yards, 0 TDs & 4 INTs. In 2 consecutive games, he went 16 for 49, 197 yards, 0 TDs & 6 INTs (QB rating of 6.46) He kept his job but you know how history went with him.

As a Chicago native, I'm reading the paper today to read different perspectives on yesterday's abysmal offensive performance.

The Chicago Suntimes states that "... His microscopic 1.3 passer rating is the lowest by a winning quarterback in 30 seasons. On Nov. 14, 1976, Norm Snead of the New York Giants posted a 0.0 passer rating by going 3-for-14 for 26 yards with two picks in a 12-9 victory over Washington".

By the way, i believe that the highest a QB's rating can be is 158.3. Boy, 1.3 sure is a long way from that.

When Jeff Garcia was playing for the Browns, he had a game where he was a 0.0. They said at the time that a couple had done it also.

Damn, I would think a QB would have to be dead to score that low.
