Well, I don't know if he was or not. And neither do you. The difference is you want him to be. Me, I don't care. It adds nor subtracts a thing from our current situation given the fact that we citizens may never know. Worry about what we know to be fact and stop wasting energy on what may have been. The fact is that we are hip deep into a war. Do we worry more about the cost? Or do we suck it up and finish this given the possible gains? And that is up to debate, but setting our friends up with a strong democratic government in that region would be advantageous to all western governments. Adding stability to a region might always be seen as a good thing. And it is a truism that anything worth doing will likely not be easy. Hizbullah was in the streets in Beirut today whining about the influence of western culture. Seems we are already making a positive difference to me.
