These got to be easy

1. A rectangular prism is a cuboid. So,
lateral area = 2h(l+b)
= 2 x 10 (15 + 5)
= 400 sq. ft

2. lateral area of cube = 4s^2
= 4 x 3.4 x 3.4
= 46.24 sq. in

3. lateral area of prism = 12.5*3.4 + 12.5*4.5 + 12.5*5.6
= 42.5 + 56.25 + 70
= 168.75 sq. ft

4. 600 sq. in formula is 2pi rh
5. formula is pi rl
answer is 3.14 * 3 * 5
= 47.1 approx.

1: Find the lateral area of a rectangular prism 5 feet wide, 15 feet long, and 10 feet high.
Total area = lateral area + 2(base area)
Total area = 2(5.15 + 10.5 + 10.15) = 2(275)ft
Base area = b x h = 15 x 5 = 75 ft²

LATERAL area = Total area - 2(Base area)
Lat = [550 - 2(75)]
Lat = 400 ft²
Answer c).

2: Find the lateral area of a cube with each edge 3.4 inches.
a) Lateral area = a² x 4 = 46.24 sq. in

3) 3: Find the lateral area of a triangular prism 12.5 feet high and edges 3.4 feet, 4.5 feet, and 5.6 feet
Answer d) Lateral area = 12.5 x (3.4 + 4.5 + 5.6)feet = 168.75 sq. ft

4: 4: Find the lateral area of a cylinder with radius 4.7 inches and altitude 20.3 inches.
Answer a) LATERAL area = Total area - 2(Base area)
Lat = 2(3,14 x 4,7) - 2(4.7)² =

5: Find the lateral area of a cone with radius 3 inches, altitude 4 inches, and slant height 5 inches.
a) Total Lateral = pi R sl= 3,14 x 3 x 5 = 47.1 sq. in
