Please enough with the "cut and run" crap. Rumsfeld said the current approach wasn't working and a new approach was needed. Taking a different approach in Iraq can hardly be cut and run after we defeated Saddam Hussein and have been there for almost four years. However, perhaps the reason Bush fired him was because of that, although I think Rummy had been trying to resign for months..

Maybe a grain of truth, whatever it might end up being came out. You have no clue, nor do I. Only the parties involved know. Putting too much stock into one small memo is silly. None of us have seen the other memos involving war strategy so there is no way to tell. I hear a bunch of witch hunters trying hard to connect the dots when 99% of the dots will never be seen. As it was in past Presidential complaining, so it is now.
