Brazil is the odd-on favorite since FIFA allocated 2014 to South America and the CONMEBOL associations voted unanimously to adopt Brazil as their sole candidate. However, there are doubts whether Brazil will be able to host due to poor condition of stadiums. If Brazil falters, there is now talk about Chile-Argentine co-hosting (similar to Japan-Korea in 2002). Columbia has also expressed interest, but personally I think the Chile-Argentine may be a better option than Columbia.

According to FIFA rotation system the World Cup of 2014 must be played in South America. I think this system is ridiculous when put South America and CONCACAF separated because the only 2 countries that big are enough to host a World Cup in CONCACAF are Mexico and US.
Anyway, among the South American countries the one that has showed more interest is Brazil. So very probably it will be host in Brazil. Obviously, *******, Brazil has economic conditions to host a World Cup, if South Africa can, why can't Brazil? By the way, the 1950 World Cup was held here, *******. Brazil will host the PanAmerican games in 2007, depending of the succes of the PanAmerican games, Brazilian chances will increase or decrease. Lets see.

Brasil is the favorite to host the 2014 world cup, i think it will be, they have a long journey ahead of them to achieve this goal, but with some hard work and dedication i think they can pull it off....
