Well as straight guy that occasionally downloads porn, I don't see much of a point just downloading the sounds.
If you're looking through the files on your man's computer chances are what you thought was a sound file is actually a video file, but you only hear the sound because his computer doesn't have the right codec to play the video portion.
In Windows Media Player this looks a lot like its playing a sound file becuase if it doesn't have the codec to show the video, the screen will have the VOX/Bars/particles (or whatever visualization is set) that comes up when you play music.
I come across it alot whenever I try to play a video with a DIVX-format, since I don't have a DIVX video program or a DIVX codec installed for Windows Media player.
Check the file's size and type, you might find it is much larger than any music/WAV files also on the computer, and their type might show an extention of .avi, .mpeg, .mpg, .wmv, etc. or have the term "Video file" if you switch the view to "Details" instead of list or thumbnail view.
If they really are just sound files and no video, maybe he likes hearing the sounds of sex and uses them with the mental picture he fantasizes about. Another possibility is maybe he's using the sound files as source material to dub onto other videos, like an animation project he may be making just for fun.
