I answered the question, 'What happens during charismatic worship?'

Many of the answers given were offensive to Christians and one was blasphemous. One said we got snakes out... I answered the question truthfully as someone had taken the time to ask it. Here is what I put:

Question Details: There are no snakes in our church! We have a band made up of keyboard, drums, electric guitars and some weeks a violin, bassoon and trumpet (occasionally a harp too). The musicians are very professional and they play modern praise and worship music while we sing (praise and worship) God. Some people on here seem to have weird ideas about this. Come along on Sunday and experience it for yourself.

I don't see that the question was a problem but I was reported for chatting and not answering the question!

I am NOT suggesting that the asker was the one who complained. What is going on with Yahoo? Why was my question deleted? it makes me want to give up answering questions

I feel your pain!! I've only been here for a week or so and I've already learned that this place isn't a nonstop bundle of laughs (although I am enjoying most of it).

I don't know what to say to you, other than you have to remember that some people are just spiteful, while others are out to p*ss off as many people as possible. I tend to just give as good as I get - actually, better - to the nastier people here. There are loads of decent 'answerers' here too though as I'm sure you know!

What on earth is going on with the moderation policy in this place? It seems haphazard to say the least!

I've been there just recently! I was shocked my answer was deleted when I barely typed 2 sentences and don't curse, nothing vulgar, just answered the question. I wanted to give up with Yahoo Answers at one point, because I never knew when they delete me again over someone stupid. I got over it and here I am...answering on.

Asking them to come to your church is a form of advertising, you aren't supposed to do that. Learn from it and move on - if you'd been more general, perhaps saying - "Maybe you should try experiencing it for yourself?" then you wouldn't have got reported.

Also, the form of your "answer" is more chatty in character than an answer might be considered - facts make answers, so just put facts.

The fiasco of politically correct ignoramus strikes again.

You did not give an answer that the holier than thou agreed with so they reported you in a fit of childish pique.

Good Idea. don't talk about religion. Talk about cloths, food, music, love. I don't talk about it because you don't know who you are going to offend. To many people are closed minded, and it will get you nowhere when bringing religion into the mix. I'm sorry that people have to be that. I agree that's it's stupid, but believe me you will less disappointed if you don't expect to get a honest answer when it comes to religion and life.

It's ridiculous, but maybe they considered " Come along on Sunday and experience it for yourself. " as soliciting members.
