lieing about everything? I can't prove anything for sure but it seems this way. I realize most people lie, some more than others but how to tell that everything isn't a lie??

You can't. I knew someone who always had an answer for something and most of the time we knew she was lying, but theres no way you can prove it.

It sounds like this person may be in the need of a friend and is lying to get attention. It's hard, sometimes, but after a while when they feel secure around you - they won't feel the need to impress you with lies. There's no sure-fire way to tell if someone is lying but if you feel it in your gut I'd say trust your instinct.

Check out their answers.Ask an authority on the subject. You don't want to be friends with a know it all, who really knows nothing at all.People who are insecure about who they are in the scheme of life, do this for attention and to make themselves seem more important.

that's the problem with lieing, once someone does it you can't trust anything they say.

Ask them about things you know to be true. See how they answer to them.
