Is it normal to have a cough for a month? I got it from my boyfriend about a month ago, and he was basically over his cold when I saw him except when he had the cold he had a stuffy nose and all that, but I just have this cough when I lay on my back or get in from the cold. Its been a month, is it normal?

I know after I get over a cold the cough is the hardest to kick. I feel fine but I get that itch in my throat that just won't go away, it keeps me up nights. Sometimes for 2 weeks. If I were you I would still try to see the doc, especially if it's accompanied by any pain or excess phlegm or anything abnormal.

You might have bronchitis. That's what happened to me. I had a bad cough and my chest hurt, and when I finally went to the doctor I found out I had that.

If you have allergies it can be,but if it doesn't go away soon you should see a doctor. If it's head and not in your chest I wouldn't worry. If it's in your chest then yes.
