no real difference. ipod is just a brand of mp3 players. but ipod has loads of features you can use and accesories you can buy, which makes it the most popular mp3 player.

There is nothing, the only difference is that apple has put out so much advertising that people think an Ipod is better than any other MP3.When really they're the same thing except the Ipod is a bigger brand name.
