I’m not a fan of video games, I’m a very sporty guy. But I loved the Wii, I was played it last night with my tennis partner the tennis game. The game only requires you to move your arms just a bit, but we overdid it making the movements as though we were playing on the courts. We cleared all the furniture out of the room, and ended up all sweaty. I loved the baseball game; we were competing who could throw the ball at the most miles per hour, and who could hit the ball out the most, we probably overdid the baseball moves as well.
At least the people who love videogames are fat guys. Most Americans are fat, will Nintendo Wii appeal to these guys?

Us fat guys love the Wii. It's about time we got a better workout from a video game system. DDR became lame a while ago, so my butt keeps getting bigger. Now maybe it will get smaller.

I believe you can consider yourself a couch potato and still play the wii. The wiimote doesn't have to be swung around in huge sweeping motions. Take Twilight Princess for example. To swing your sword you don't have to literally swing your whole arm (though it make the game more fun), you only need to flick your wrist in the right dirrection. The only truly active game ive seen so far is Wario Ware:Smooth Moves. Some of the minigames involve running, or flapping your arms, or many other things. Really, I'm a couch potato too. The Wii can really just be an exercise thing if you want it to, but it isn't only that. Plus, you can download games from older systems that only use buttons if you really want to. Or Excite Truck, the only motion is tilting the wiimote. I dunno. I think I've rambled enough.

I think it depends on the kind of games the people who buy the Wii will play. I mean if you're standing up like you were and moving about and you love to play the game and you do that every day then sadly I must say that you should be getting some excercise by doing that. Pretty humerous if you ask me. But if you get the lazy games, not sure what they are, but pretty sure there are some out there, I'm sure people will become more of a couch-potato then they already are. Goodluck with finding your answer :)

Try not sterotyping people. The wii is going to lose appeal based on it simply being new and once it is no longer new no one will care. It won't get many fans because Nintendo doesn't do much beyond kids games usually.
