Are you kidding? Go for it! I had a teacher who decided at the age of 20 that she wanted to be a ballet dancer, and she was told that she was too old and should have started between the ages of 3 and 10. She became an accomplished dancer, earning several degrees and a world renown dance company. Baseball may be your calling! Get lots of practice and go for it! Good luck!!

Never too late to start anything really. If you mean to get to a high level, well, you've got a lot to catch up on but if you want to get really proficient at it, or anything else for that matter, practice makes perfect!
What positions are you thinking of playing? If you see yourself as a position player then of course you need to be able to hit. Hitting takes a lot of hand-eye coordination so you'll want to go to the batting cages as much as possible, or get family/friends to throw you "live" pitches. Soft toss is also a good way to not only develop the coordination but as you get better you should try to develop bat speed and use your hips and upper torso. Hitting off a batting tee is a good thing as well.
In order to develop your arm strength I recommend lifting weights, some people will tell you this isn't the way, but trust me, I've been playing baseball for over 30 years and it's one of the best ways to get a strong arm. The other way is to play long toss. After you get warmed up, just keep taking a step back (from whomever you are throwing with) with the goal of just getting the ball to that person on the fly, not hops. Do that for as far as you can throw then move back to a closer distance and move in a step with every throw until you reach normal distance (say 60 feet). Do this every day and you're arm will get super strong in no time!
Good luck.

Of course it's not too late. It's actually a perfect time to start playing because you are in the height of physical development at 14-15. Some sports, like baseball, are actually better to start during your teenage years because that's when things like coordination and arm strength are developing rapidly. There are many major league players that started playing baseball at your age. So you should definitely go for it. Now is the best time to start.

9th grade means about 15yo,and your body is just developing.
I would certainly go out for the baseball team...you have nothing to lose.
Many pro athletes didn't start with their eventual sport until late high school. Michael Jordan being a good example. He was cut from his high school freshman team but he would grow and mature eventually becoming probably the best player ever.
Baseball is similar.
Now that your growing you will throw the ball faster....hit the ball further and generally have a better understanding of the game.
I strongly advise you to "give it a try " !
Good luck

Baseball is a hard to sport to start late, but I would definitely encourage you to give it a try if you are interested.
Even some pro players were just really talented athletes who were convinced to take up baseball in high school. You're probably not going to go pro, but maybe you can at least have some fun ;)

No way. You will never regret trying, but if you do not try, I guarentee you will regret it.
There was a St. Louis Cardinal baseball player in the 1980s, I think his name was Whitfield(?), played the outfield, he did not start playing till his last 2 years of HS. He tied a record with 4 homeruns and 12 RBIs in one game!
So give it you best try, and if you do not make the team, than practice for a year and give it another try next year.
Good Luck!

It's never too late for baseball, have fun with it.
Regardless of how good you might be, if you enjoy it then keep playing. One day you'll be playing ball with your children. Baseball is a great sport.

It is never too late to start playing any sport. Especially baseball, it takes very good coordination and hand eye skills to hit and sometimes this isn't fully devoloped until later years of life. I suggest that you try out and spend many hours hitting off of a tee and playing catch to strengthen your arm.
