The best way is to purchase a domain name and then you have full control, also bear in mind that the free hosting companies do not list/index you in search engines

Lots of places will let you do this: myspace.com, facebook.com are 2 quick ones I can think of. Otherwise, just do a search on free web hosting, and you'll find a bunch of places.
