Please help I can't find an answer on the internet this is urgent homework for wednesday if anyone knows please please help!!!!!!!!!

The Calender (with the Months we know) use to be 10 months in a Calender Year.
Back then the Calender Months were like Counting. [Sept]ember Indicates the 7th Month, [Oct]ober indicates the 8th Month,.. Dec means 10. So if you count in Ancient Latin,.. you say the first part of these months as numbers,.. or vise versa.
What happened is two Caesers/Emporers decided they should have a Month named after them. To be exact one did and the the next to rein decided he wanted to be just like the other and had a month named after him. This gave us 12 months.
Unfortunately I forget which Caeser came first at the moment.
Julius Caeser got July and Augustus Caeser got August.

september means seventh month
ocotber means eighth month
it's from when they were only 10 months (nov - 9, dec - 10)

dates back to the "julian" calendar used by the romans...
based on a 10-month year...
september was 7th month...october the 8th month...november the 9th month...and december the 10th month...
taken from the latin for seven, eight, nine, and ten...
