Choice? No. Emo is the human emotion that not enough of us are born with. Unfortunately, the emo is born with TOO MUCH of this. Only problem is, they have no life and their parents aren't really involved in their lives. So they sulk, not necessarily looking for attention, because odds are, they won't be getting any. My sister is Emo. Our parents were never there for us. She just finds it easier to be emo, wearing dark clothing and being depressed. She feels like she has an excuse for it, that it's sorta her calling in a way. The overrealization of the bad things that are going on in this world, only they actually feel the sorrow and depression that others find the need to generally forget and cast aside... rest assure... the emo never forgets. They emphathize... they sympathize. Everything is seen as negative, dark and depressing because there is an envy in them somewhere, a look back at childhood and what it could have been had they lived in another life, a thought of what they could have done to make it different, to make the WORLD different. Emo people really DON'T have a life, and with no spiritual background, tend to slump into an even deeper depression as life progresses, as they are single, alone, and very depressed, making them tired and emotional. That's how they live their lives... just ask my sister. If you find out more about emos, PLEASE let me know... I want to help my sister. :-\

Emo kids are just too aware of the despair of it all. They feel things deeper than most want to admit to.
